Greetings, visitors. I'm pleased that you have come. I am Thurchard Laslowe, Doctor of Philosophy and Director of the Magic Realm Governmental Council & Affiliates (MRGCA).

Many years ago, the dragon sages realized that their newly created realm was going to need a stringent set of rules in order to function properly.
I chose to assume the task and worked diligently to developed what we now know as the Rule of Magical Law.

All beings who bear magic must agree not to intentionally use magic to harm any other living or sentient being.

All beings agree to immediately report the discovery of any forbidden magical objects or items relating to a terminated magical category.

All beings must agree to refrain from engaging in the practice of any activity that falls within the category of ethereal magic. This includes but is not limited to: spell-casting, alchemy, or use of a magical object that produces an outcome in this forbidden area.

The Rule of Magical Law applies to any and all beings whose bodies are categorized as vessels of magic.

Any and all creatures who bear magic, whether by birth or transference, agree to and are bound by the rule of magical law.

The document I created is several hundreds of pages long, and, if I do say so myself, is a rivetingly interesting read. However, I was informed by the council that humans have an incredibly short attention span, so I have therefore chosen only the main highlights to share with you.

You're probably wondering what consequences await those who frequently engage in wrongdoing. We take the practice of magic very seriously in the realm. Any being who uses magic to intentionally harm another person will consequently lose their own magic instead. As such, a curse mark is applied to the offender's body so they can be henceforth identified as an offender of magic.

But you don’t have to worry about any of that. You don’t have any magic, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to cause any harm.

Here at the MRGCA, we pride ourselves on our sharp detection of illegal magical activities happening within the realm. Even so, we understand that a few unscrupulous characters still sneak under our noses from time to time.

If you detect any illegal activities as you are visiting the realm, please contact me immediately. I can be reached quickly by sprite, or through any magical communication item that has not been altered.
